This scholarship will help equip me with new tools, skills, and opportunities that will strengthen the work I do in supporting my department, educators, and school communities at UCLA. It will also support my own professional growth and long-term career journey, creating opportunities that will positively impact my future.

This award will strengthen my ability to design end-to-end analytical solutions. It will shift my approach from short-term fixes to scalable, long-term strategies that expand the scope and impact of my work.

This scholarship supports my progress toward the CMA certification, reinforcing a structured, evidence-based approach to financial judgment and decision-making in complex institutional environments. It enables me to further formalize and apply auditable approaches to financial analysis in support of UCLA’s mission.

This scholarship will help me deepen my work in research and developing practical resources that support student wellness, digital wellbeing, and restorative approaches in schools. I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep building tools and strategies that help students feel supported, connected, and set up for success.

College athletics more often than not, operate a high ratio of male coaches to mens sports and a low ration of female coaches in womens sports. in Women’s swimming, female coaches are exceedingly rare. Of the top 40 women’s swimming and diving programs at NCAAs this year, just eight were led by a woman head coach. Only about 20% of assistant coaching positions on women’s teams are filled by women. For this reason, among others, many of us participate in coaching summits. These organizations were originally designed to support and retain women in our sport. They provide professional development opportunities focused on technical and competitive strategy, leadership development, and job readiness skills. I am so humbled to be able to attend again this year, while at a pivotal point in my coaching career!

The UCLA Staff Assembly Scholarship will develop my capacity as a process improvement facilitator. I will attend the Institute for Healthcare Improvement conference and foster insights and connections to help my team advance projects impacting UCLA Health’s resilience and excellence in patient care.

I’m deeply grateful and honored to receive this scholarship, which will directly strengthen my ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver human-centered solutions for DTS creatively, adaptively and efficiently. This opportunity will expand my design thinking toolbox and enable me to better lead and support my collaborators in strategic ideation with both immediate and long term impact.

Receiving the Staff Assembly Scholarship will provide financial support for an upcoming conference focused on supporting underrepresented students, specifically students with dependents. Ultimately contributing to the ongoing work of my capstone project for the 2026 Professional Development Program. Thank you for this opportunity!
