I have experience conducting qualitative research including synthesizing information to create literature reviews, creating infographics, writing impact reports, and reviewing reports for publishing. These skills will help me create a newsletter that is visually appealing and highlights the most important information so viewers get the most out of a quick glance at the newsletter. More recently I have gained experience with website management and creating content for social media platforms through my work with TGIF, a student fee funded sustainability grant facilitated through the Undergraduate Student Association Council, and maintaining the USAC website. This experience has given me a better understanding of html and php languages so that I can better format the newsletter for distribution via email.

I am interested in the Strategic Communications position as I see this being a great way to learn more about the happenings on campus and about Staff Assembly itself. I look forward to becoming more involved as a staff member at UCLA and forming a new love and appreciation for the Bruin community beyond my experience as a student.

As Vice President, Strategic Communications, my goals are:

Making sure your stories, events, programs, etc., are featured in the bi-weekly newsletter to support UCLA activities. I would also love to change the look of the newsletter to make it more visually appealing and easy to read. In addition to promoting content for others, I would love to create new feature content for the newsletter to engage those reading- perhaps something like a staff shout out where departments can give a shout out to their team in the newsletter. I look forward to being creative with this position.
