Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I have been a part of the UCLA community since 1981, when I moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA as a Theater Arts major. After graduating, I became a staff member at UCLA Transportation and currently have 23 years of dedicated service to UC.  Major accomplishments during my tenure include the implementation of the On the Spot Reward Program, participation on the Business and Administrative Services Community Service Advisory Committee, and coordination of various high profile events.  I also oversaw the development and implementation of unit and program specific marketing plans as well as the MyRide marketing campaign, both of which won the Metro Diamond Rideshare Award for outstanding marketing program (2005, 2006).  The MyRide campaign also received an honorable mention at the UC Sustainability Conference (2006).

I have long been a proponent of continuing education, and have participated in numerous training opportunities through UCLA Campus Human Resources including the Professional Development Program, the Management Skills Assessment Program, the Business Officers Institute, and Supervisory Skills Training.  I have also taken classes through UCLA Extension to expand my professional skills, and am currently enrolled in the Pepperdine University Fully Employed MBA program, with an emphasis in Marketing.

Staff Assembly is an outstanding organization with a strong, broad-based foundation and a history of involvement and positive influence.  I plan to continue building on the solid base that Staff Assembly has established and seek new opportunities for innovation and impact.

Areas of focus include:

1. Outreach – expanding the Staff Assembly listserv and membership base;
2. Partnerships – building on the Learn at Lunch series and identifying new campus projects/initiatives which Staff Assembly can be involved in;
3. Marketing – organizational promotion including branding, awareness, interest, support; and
4. Recognition – identifying additional opportunities to recognize staff contributions.  I look forward to working with the Staff Assembly membership to help move this influential organization to further greatness.
