Executive Board

Ana Esquivel is Immediate Past President of the UCLA Staff Assembly Board. She earned her BA in 1988 from UCLA. While attending UCLA, Ana began her UCLA Health career as a work study student. After graduating, she continued working for UCLA Health; a career approaching 27 years. Ana has worked for the Department of Medicine in various roles which include research, clinic operations, and management of the Internal Medicine residency clinic training program. She spent a few years working for the Department of Radiology where she established their business development program and expanded their access environment for patient appointment scheduling. In addition, she has worked for the Faculty Practice Group and UCLA Health IT.  Ana returned back to the department of Radiology and is the current Radiology Analytics Manager.

As a UCLA alumna and career employee, Ana loves sharing events and opportunities with her colleagues and others outside of UCLA. She embodies the true Bruin spirit and is not shy to share and use opportunities to build her network. As President, Ana worked on building a stronger connection between the campus and health system and advocating for the needs of all staff, especially the underrepresented.

As Immediate Past President, she is ready to work on addressing digital accessibility.  Ana’s goal focuses on the needs of staff that do not have access to technology or computer literacy to access employment related systems. The goal is to improve inclusivity and address equity issues due to lack of access or ability to navigate the different employment related electronic systems/applications and/or websites.

She is looking forward to supporting the current board and continuing with the important work that Staff Assembly does “for staff, by staff.” Outside of UCLA, Ana enjoys traveling and getting to meet new people and learning about different cultures. She has a passion for volunteering, non-profits, fundraising, and philanthropy.
