The list below shows opportunities and discounts for staff to enroll in higher education courses at UCLA. If you know of any additional opportunities available to staff, please contact us at staffassembly@ucla.edu so we can include it in this list.

Staff Reduced Fee Enrollment

According to UCLA Policy PPSM-51, a regular status employee who meets the admission requirements of the University is eligible for two-thirds reduction of both the University Registration Fee and the Educational Fee when enrolled in regular session courses of up to nine units or three courses per quarter or semester, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please contact your HR representative.

UCLA Extension

1. No cost seminars, workshops, and trainings at uclaextension.edu/uclaxopen

2. UCLA, ASUCLA, and retired staff receive a reduced fee on all Extension courses at uclaextension.edu/ucla-faculty-staff. We offer two ways to take advantage of the reduced fee through self-pay or by department recharge.

3. Staff Assembly’s annual scholarships apply to Extension courses for professional development.

Fully Employed MBA Program (FEMBA)

UCLA staff are eligible for an application fee waiver. Information about the admissions process and online application can be found at anderson.ucla.edu/degrees/fully-employed-mba/admissions. In addition, UCLA staff and faculty who enroll in the Fully Employed MBA program may be eligible for the UCLA Staff Fellowship. The total fellowship award amount is $30,000, disbursed in quarterly installments. Please contact FEMBA Admissions or Financial Aid for further eligibility requirements and more information. Fellowship recipients will be notified of their award at the same time admission offers are released.
