Kevin Medina
VP, Events
Kevin (he/hey) is a queer Chicano first generation professional who has worked at the nexus of education and social change since 2010. A proud product of the UC system, he holds a Bachelor of Social Ecology with an Education Minor from UC Irvine and a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Social Welfare from UCLA. Since 2016, Kevin has been a dedicated full-time staff member at UCLA, beginning his tenure at the LGBTQ Campus Resource Center. Over the years, he has held various roles at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and now serves as the Managing Director of the Luskin School’s Office of Student Affairs & Alumni Relations. In this role, he leads the School’s career services, fellowships, student support initiatives, and alumni engagement efforts.
In his spare time, Kevin performs with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, conducts hate crime data analysis for the LA County Human Relations Commission, captains a queer sports team, and spends too much time going to concerts, traveling, cooking/eating plant-based foods, exercising, and playing PokemonGO & Genshin Impact.
