Rose Estrada
Health Member at Large
Rose Estrada serves as the UCLA Health Member-at-large of the UCLA Staff Assembly Executive Committee. She is an alumna of UCLA (BA, French and Linguistics) and UCSD (MAS, Leadership of Healthcare Organizations. As a student at UCLA, Rose worked for ASUCLA dining services and as a cashier in the book department, and for On Campus Housing dining services at Hershey and Rieber Halls. After graduation, Rose worked in On Campus Housing (OCH) Administration and the OCH Maintenance office. She also worked in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and in the Office of the Human Research Protection Program. After spending 10 years in oncology clinical research in the private, non-profit sector, Rose returned to UCLA where she now works in clinical research in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Santa Monica clinic. Rose is an advocate for staff engagement and is dedicated to introducing UCLA Health staff members to the opportunities available to them through the university, whether through work-related training, life-long study, or campus extra-curricular activities. In her free time, Rose volunteers with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Institutional Review Board as a Community Board Member striving to make a meaningful contribution to the improved health and wellness of the people of Los Angeles County, spends time with friends and family, and is learning to play the piano.
